iPad sketch

Been messing about with the Brushes app for iPad. Lots of fun. With the addition of a stylus it's like a portable Cintiq. Thanks go to the redoubtable Alisdair Wood for putting together this movie. And thanks to my long suffering wife for the iPad!

  1. Love it! I got a stylus for Xmas too and it's lovely to work with. Unfortunately I didn't get the extraordinary talent that you have.

  2. You're using "brushes" for this? I've been dabbling with a few apps, and I found "ArtStudio" to be my favorite. You should give it a try!

  8. You really are an amazing draughtsman, if that term is still used. A similar question to some of the others: what kind of stylus do you use with an iPad? I haven't seen any that are pressure sensitive.

  9. Wow... Amazing how clean your line work is from the get go. Almost like a 3d wire frame mesh. I would have thought you'd start out slightly more crudely. Nice time lapse!

  10. Thanks for the comments everybody.
I'm using the Boxwave Capacitive stylus. It doesn't give you pressure sensitivity but the way I work doesn't rely on that anyway. And at £10/$15 on Amazon you can't go wrong.
